Free Initial Consultation

Some individuals try to represent themselves without legal assistance. This is always a risky choice. As the old saying goes “a man who has himself as a lawyer, has a fool for a client.” If you don’t know your rights, you don’t have any!

The initial consultation with Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC is always FREE, so there is no risk on your part. At this consultation, you will learn what your rights are and the options available to you. After the consultation, if you are not convinced that Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC will be able to assist you and protect your interests, then you can simply decide not to hire Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC. You will owe us nothing.

Reasonable Fees

At your free initial consultation, one of the attorneys will discuss our fees with you. The main types of attorney fees you will encounter are contingent fees, flat fees, and hourly fees.

Most litigation cases will be handled on an hourly fee basis. However, selected litigation may be handled on a flat fee basis. Unless other arrangements are made between you and Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC, plaintiff’s personal injury claims are handled on a contingent fee basis. In all cases, clients would be responsible for all out-of-pocket expenses. The attorney will discuss with you which fee arrangement applies to your case.

Contingent Fees

A contingency fee provides for compensation to Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC for our legal services based on a percentage of the recovery. That means that Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC will not be paid for our legal services unless we recover money for your damages and/or injuries.

If your case is handled on contingent-fee basis, fees and litigation expenses are handled as follows:

No fees or litigation expenses are charged to our clients unless Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC obtains recovery on their behalf
Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC legal fees are computed as a percentage of the total recovery obtained
If no recovery is obtained, costs such as previous medical expenses and out-of pocket expenses remain the responsibility of the client. You will pay all costs of litigation.

Flat Fee

A flat fee is a predetermined set amount of money Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC will charge you for our services.

Hourly Fee

With an hourly fee, you will be billed for each hour (or portion of an hour) Hammarback, Dusek & Associates, PLC works on your case.
